The TMRC Grand Prix is a series of races sponsored in
whole or in part by TMRC. There are typically between 8 and 12 races each year that
are included in the Grand Prix series and races have ranged from 5 KM to Marathon in
distance. Events this year range from 5 KM to 15 KM. Points are awarded to
TMRC members based on their finishing place within their age group. 10 points are
awarded for 1st place in an age group, down to 1 point for 10th place. Members must
compete in at least 4 Grand Prix events this year to qualify for an award. Awards
are presented annually to the top 3 in each age group at the TMRC Banquet.
Runners whose birthdays move them into an older age group will continue to
score points for Grand Prix events at the younger age group until the next
Grand Prix year. Consistency is the key to winning your age group. |
