Cornidez wins Lenio 5K RunSierra Vista Herald / September 14, 2000
SIERRA VISTA - Armando Cornidez won the annual Paul Lenio 5K Run recently with a
time of 18:47.3. The overall female winner was Jami Perez with a time of
23:29.7.
Runners ranging in age from 14-and-under to 70-plus competed in the run.
Nick Kosmider won the 14-under group for the males with a time of 21:59.5, while
Perez won the females 14-under group.
Amy Heran took first place in the female group of 15-18 years of age. There were
no competitors in the male age group. In the male 19-29 age group Cornidez took
first place with his time of 18:47.3. There were no female competitors in this
age group.
Charles Owen took first place in the 30-39 male age group with a time of
19:21.9, and Kathy Krebs took first in the womens 30-39 age group with her time
of 25:34.4. In the males 40-49 age group Gary Macleod took the first-place spot
with a time of 19:26.9, and Roxanna Huish took the female portion with a time of
26:00.1.
In the male 50-59 age group, Steve Siergert finished first with a time of
21:03.3, and Alyce Tordsen took first for the women in a time of 30:47.9. Jim
Peller took first place in the 60-69 age group with a time of 20:3.4, and Pat
Delvecchio finished first in the womens age group with a time of 28:59.5.
Richard Cooper was the only 70 and older competitor for the males, and he took
first in a time of 25:36.6. There were no female competitors in this age group.
